About us:

The Indiana Blues Society is an affiliate of the Blues Foundation and has been in existence since 1995. 

The IBS is about all of us. Young and old, musically inclined or not who love and support the Blues whether it's on a volunteer basis or by showing up at Festivals, jams and gigs.      
 

Our priorities are: 
Preserve by organizing and overseeing events such as the Indiana Blues Challenge that affords a spot for one solo/duo and one band act at the International Blues Challenge.

Unify by networking within our family of society affiliates, clubs, musicians and the related business scene.

Educate through Music seminars, mentoring programs for young and aspiring musicians.

Hold periodic fundraisers to supplement the IBS members who are accepted to participate in Generation Blues.

Promote by drawing attention to venues, musicians and  businesses that support the Blues. 

One area of interest to musicians is our annual submittal of one CD to the Blues Foundation for the Best Self-Produced CD category. 

Indiana is full of talented people who get out there, compete, perform, and have a great time doing it.

After it's all said and done, we all get together, have a drink, have some coffee, form new bands, meet up at shows, promote the Blues and generally just keep doing it...
